World Tuberculosis Day Celebrated at Lalmonirhat

Lalmonirhat Representative: YES ! WE CAN END TB, yes! World Tuberculosis Day was celebrated at Lalmonirhat with the theme We Can Eradicate Tuberculosis. On the occasion of the day, a rally was taken out from the District Civil Surgeon's office on Sunday morning and later a discussion meeting was held. District Civil Surgeon Dr. Nirmalendu Roy was the chief guest in the day's program organized under the initiative of National Tuberculosis Control Program, Directorate of Health and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. 3325 tuberculosis patients have been identified in the district.

Among them, 1538 people have come under treatment. Among them, 137 children are patients. At this time, along with the government, members of the non-governmental organization RDRS Bangladesh, BRAC, USAID, who are working on the field of tuberculosis in the district, and the members of the health department were present.
