3 more deaths due to dengue in 24 hours

Health Desk:  3 more people died in the last 24 hours due to dengue fever. With this, the total number of dead has increased to 497 people. 

At the same time, 705 people were admitted to the hospital, as a result, the number of infected people has reached 93 thousand 56.

This information was informed in a press release sent from the Health Emergency Operation Center of the Department of Health on Monday. 

It is said that among the 3 dead in the last 24 hours, one is from Dhaka Division, one from Dhaka South City Corporation and one from Khulna Division.

According to the notification, among the newly admitted patients in the hospital, 60 in Barisal Division, 73 in Chittagong Division, 159 in Dhaka Division (outside City Corporation), 154 in Dhaka North City, 90 in Dhaka South City, 96 in Khulna Division, 43 in Rajshahi Division, 18 in Mymensingh, 10 in Rangpur and 2 new patients have been admitted in Sylhet.

From January 1 to December 1, 2024, 93 thousand 56 people were hospitalized with dengue, of which 63.20% were men and 36.80% were women. During the same period 497 people died, of which 51.50% were women and 48.50% were men.
