The correct history should be presented to the next generation: Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder

News Desk: Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder said that the struggle of Bengalis was started through the language movement. Which was led by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. That consciousness should be held by suppressing the negative energy. The correct history should be presented to the future generations. 

The Food Minister said these things in the speech of the chief guest at the discussion meeting at the Naogaon district Awami League party office on Tuesday (February 21) morning.

The minister said, 'In exchange for the blood of 30 lakh martyrs, the freedom gained and Bangabandhu gave his life, all evil forces must be suppressed to keep that freedom forward.'

The discussion meeting was attended by Sadar Constituency Member of Parliament Barrister Nizam Uddin Jalil John, District Awami League Vice President Abdul Khalek, Nirmal Krishna Saha, Joint General Secretary Jabed Jahangir Sohel and other leaders and workers of the district Awami League and organizations.

Earlier, on the occasion of Great Martyr's Day and International Mother Language Day, the Food Minister paid tribute to the language martyrs at the Central Martyr's Minar at Mukti Junction in Naogaon city at 12:01 pm.

After paying tribute, the minister told the reporters, 'On February 21, 1952, Salam, Barkat, Rafiq sowed the seeds of independence movement and freedom movement of Bangladesh by shedding fresh blood. So the Bengali nation has to go back in search of those roots. Only then will we be able to embrace the spirit of freedom.'

At that time, Deputy Commissioner Khalid Mehdi Hasan, Superintendent of Police Muhammad Rashidul Haque and other officials of the administration were present. Later, people from all walks of life, including the Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police, Freedom Fighters Unit, paid tribute to the language martyrs.
