Interview to fill vacant seats in JOB on 14-16 February

News Desk: The authorities have called for interviews to fill the vacancies in Jagannath University for admission in the first year of graduation (honors) and BBA in the academic year 2020-21. This interview will be held in different units from 14th to 18th February. Students who have not been admitted in the first to seventh merit order will also be able to take part in the interview.

Thursday (February 10) University Registrar Engineer. The matter was informed in a press release signed by Ohiduzzaman. According to the notification, an interview is being called for filling up the existing vacant seats in various departments on merit basis after admission in Jagannath University in the academic year 2020-21 undergraduate (honors) and BBA first year A, B and C units from the seventh merit list. Students who could not be admitted even after being allotted subjects in the first to seventh merit list will also be able to take part in the interview. Subjects will be allotted subject to vacancies according to the merit of the students present in the interview.

The notification further said that the students involved in the interview will not get any migration opportunity. They will not get a chance to change the subject even if they fill the vacancies in any department later. This is the last step for admission in Jagannath University in the academic year 2020-21. According to the registrar's office of the university, the interviews of science (A) unit from 4,533 to 5,532 will be held in the central auditorium of the university on February 14. Merit order from 5 thousand 533 to 6 thousand 532 interviews will be held on 15th February. Merit order from 6,533 to 7,500 interviews will be held on 18 February. Humanities (B) Unit Merit Rates from 1,089 to 2,190 Interviews will be held in the Law Department of the University on 14th February. Merit order from two thousand 191 to two thousand five hundred interviews will be held on 15 February.

The Merit of Commerce (C) Unit from one thousand 246 to two thousand interviews will be held in the office of the Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies on 14 February. Interviews for each unit will begin at 9 a.m. and continue until 3 p.m. To participate in the interview, you have to download the prescribed form from the university website and fill it up. The subject list of the students who participated in the interview will be published on 22nd February. Admission has to be done by submitting the admission fee and documents to the nominated department till 4 pm on 23rd and 24th February. In addition, students who fail to be admitted according to the first to seventh merit list will be able to take part in the interview on 14 February in their respective units. According to the Registrar's Office, there are a total of 490 vacancies in three units of Jagannath University for admission according to merit.

There are 169 vacancies in Science (A) unit, 264 vacancies in Humanities (B) unit and 36 vacancies in Commerce (C) unit. The total number of seats in the three units of Jagannath University is 2,065. Earlier, the university authorities published seven merit lists subject to vacancies for admission of students. Students can deposit admission fee through cash, rocket or sure cash mobile banking.
