News Desk: Regarding the statements of BNP leaders on the disappearance, Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader said that despite the revelation of Jamal Uddin's murder, whatever the BNP says, they are carrying issues like disappearance, murder, conspiracy and human rights violation in their minds.

He made the request during a briefing at his residence on Saturday (December 11).

Obaidul Quader said that now they are trying to impose responsibility on the government. Who was involved in the disappearance and murder of BNP leader Jamal Uddin in Chittagong? At that time they were blaming Awami League. But later it was proved that the BNP leaders were involved in the abduction and murder of Jamal Uddin.

BNP leaders have complained that there is no freedom of media. In that context, he said, the media is working independently and without interference. The government is being criticized in papers, news and talk shows every day. That is why no action has been taken against any media.

Regarding the BNP leaders' allegations about the judiciary, the Awami League general secretary said, "Sheikh Hasina's government is not interfering in the judiciary in the least." The judiciary is working completely independently.

He said that for the BNP, the independence of the judiciary means that the verdict of the judiciary has to go in their favor. They say the verdict is in their favor, the judiciary is independent. On the other hand, the government is interfering in the judiciary. This dual policy of BNP is now clear to the people.

Driving at high speeds in dense fog on roads and highways is risky. Therefore, Obaidul Quader urged the transport workers to take utmost precaution to avoid any untoward accident.

He urged all to abide by the speed limit rules including driving fog lights while driving and hoped for the cooperation of all concerned in various steps being taken by the government to establish safe roads.
