Notre Dame student dies: Harun allocates dirt car for Tk 3 lakh

News Desk: Law enforcement is conducting an operation to nab Harun Mia alias Kailla Harun (38), the driver of the car accused in the incident in which Naeem Hasan, a student of Notre Dame College, was killed in a road accident of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC). Driver Harun Mia is a special truck cleaner of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC). But he became a garbage truck driver with a hefty sum of money from a truck cleaner.

According to a DSCC source, Harun allotted a garbage truck for Rs 3 lakh. For the last one and a half years, he used to drive DSCC garbage trucks like this. Even if he was allocated Rs 3 lakh, his income would have been doubled. He also used to steal car oil. According to DSCC sources, he used to steal and sell 8 liters of the 11 liters of oil allotted for dirty cars every day. Thus he used to steal and sell 180 liters of oil every month. We checked the documents of the car and found out during the interrogation of the arrested Russell that the main driver of the car was Aaron. In the meantime, our operation to arrest Aaron continues. We will bring him under the law soon.

Aaron will be questioned after his arrest as to why he was driving with Russell. Meanwhile, in a press release on Thursday (November 25), the public relations officer of the DSCC, Abu Naser, said that Harun Mia, a cleaner, and Abdur Razzak, a cleaner, had been fired for cooperating in the illegal allocation of vehicles. From there, the police took them into custody and confiscated the garbage truck. The body has been handed over after inquest report and autopsy. The victim's father Shah Alam Dewan has filed a case in this regard.
