There has been no violence or problems in Durga Puja in the last 12 years: Quader

Awami League General Secretary and Minister for Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader has said that communal evil forces are creating chaos in the country.

He said there has been no violence or problem in the Hindu community's Durga Puja in the last 12 years. This time the planned communal evil has created this misdeed. Anyone involved in these misdeeds will not be exempted.

He said this while virtually joining the triennial conference of Rajbari district Awami League on Sunday (October 18).

Referring to those who caused the incident in Comilla as enemies of the liberation war, Obaidul Quader said, "We have to unite and build resistance against this evil force." He also thinks that it is normal for those who do not tolerate the development of the country to get angry.

The general secretary of the Awami League said that by capitalizing on religion, a section is repeatedly looking for opportunities for violence through anti-religious activities. They will no longer be exempted.

"The government is involved in these riots," said Obaidul Quader, referring to allegations by BNP leaders that they wanted to cover fish with vegetables. The government wants stability in the country. The government can do all this with no grief.

He further said that the mischievous attempt to destabilize the country by destroying communal harmony and those who are helping behind it will be brought to justice through proper and impartial investigation.
