News Desk: Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader has commented that BNP's blatant lies are part of fascist mentality. He made the remarks during a briefing at his official residence on Tuesday (September 14th).

Obaidul Quader said, they practiced fascism during the rule of BNP. Then you will see that they themselves are carrying the legacy of fascism and the fascist mentality is prevailing among them. He called on the BNP to look at itself in the mirror before calling the government a fascist.

In response to the BNP leaders' statement that the government is using repression to hide its failure, the Awami League general secretary said, "Sheikh Hasina's government does not believe in repression. The government always welcomes constructive criticism." The BNP, a political party that has not seen a single success of the government in the last thirteen years, has only seen the so-called failure.

Asked about the BNP leaders, he said they do not see multiple development works including Padma Bridge, Metro Rail, Elevated Expressway, Karnafuli Tunnel, BRT, 22 flyovers across the country and 20 underpasses. Seeing these developments, the BNP is really angry.

Obaidul Quader said, 100% electricity has reached the whole country today, this is also the reason for BNP's hatred. With a per capita income of হাজার 2,227, the BNP cannot tolerate this astonishing progress. The BNP leaders seek peace and comfort by protesting against the government. But they do not make any effort to identify their own failures.

He said that the BNP wants to hide its failure by confusing the activists and supporters, lying all the time against the government while they say that their opportunity to speak is less. Every day their speeches are coming in newspapers, electronic media, more time is being given according to the number of seats in the parliament, is it being said or less?

The top leader of the Awami League said that the opportunity to speak was unimpeded and there was no need for the BNP secretary general to shout outside.
