Bangabandhu's soul will get peace only if it stands by the people in the ongoing Corona crisis: Quader

Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader has called for turning the mourning of August into strength and said that the golden Bengal of Bangabandhu's dream should be built in a non-communal manner in the spirit of liberation war under the leadership of Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina. Only by standing by the side of helpless and miserable people in the ongoing Corona crisis will Bangabandhu show proper respect and his soul will find peace.

Obaidul Quader made the remarks at a briefing at his residence on Sunday (August 1st).

The general secretary of the Awami League said that the cruelest political assassination in history was on August 15. There is no precedent in the world for such a political assassination in terms of cruelty. Innocent children have not been killed in other murders in the world. Abala women, pregnant women were not targeted.

He said that not only Bangabandhu but also his wife Mahiyasi Nari Bangamata Begum Mujib and other members of the family were brutally killed that day. The conspirators did not stop the brutal massacre on 15 August, they later killed four national leaders on 3 November inside a jail cell. The grenade attack on August 21 was a continuation of the same conspiracy.

He further said that the prime target of August 15 was Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the prime target of the grenade attack on August 21 was Bangabandhu daughter Sheikh Hasina.

The general secretary of the Awami League said that the masterminds of the August 15 and 21 killings are still active, they do not want a Bangladesh of development, peace and comfort.

Referring to their resentment towards the prosperous future under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina, Obaidul Quader said, they want a bloody desert plagued by conflict.

As soon as August came, the general secretary of the Awami League said that he was worried about the safety of Bangabandhu's daughter.

Obaidul Quader said that those who were involved in the murder have died unintentionally, adding that history has not forgiven anyone, nor has it forgiven anyone.

He said that those who caused the bloody August in this country, those who were the beneficiaries, their trial has been completed in the court of nature.

Obaidul Quader said that the November 3 killings were done to make the Awami League and the nation leaderless. The killings of 15 August, 3 November and 21 August are a continuation of the same conspiracy.

At the request of traders, the government has declared the export-oriented industries free from restrictions.

In this regard, the Minister of Road Transport and Bridges said that the business leaders had promised to start the factory first with the workers in the vicinity of the factory, but in reality it was seen that many companies gave notice to the workers to join the work immediately. He also thinks that the flow of people towards the capital can increase the rate of infection without heeding the hygienic rules like the tidal wave.
