At least 379 Palestinians have been injured in indiscriminate Israeli shelling. Thirty-one of them were wounded in fresh Israeli shelling. Palestinians were wounded when they opened fire on a protest rally in the West Bank on Friday (July 9th) against an illegal security checkpoint.

Al-Jazeera quoted local media as saying that Palestinians were burning tires and throwing stones at Israeli forces in the West Bank town of Beita. Witnesses said Israeli forces fired fresh bullets and rubber bullets wrapped in rubber bullets at the procession after Friday prayers.

The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that 369 people were injured in the attack. Of these, 31 people were injured in fresh shots. However, the Israeli authorities did not say anything about the attack.

Meanwhile, similar incidents have taken place in Kafr Kadum and Beit Dajan. Many Palestinians have been treated for tear gas by Israeli forces.

In addition, Israeli forces thwarted a Palestinian protest against the illegal occupation of Yatta in Masaf, Hebron.

It is estimated that there are about six and a half million settlements on the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem. Under international law, any Israeli settlement in the Occupied Palestinian Territories is illegal.
