International Desk: This time Russian President Vladimir Putin accused the West of creating the risk of global conflict. He also said that he has ordered the army to be ready to respond to any provocation by the West. This Russian leader warned that the world's largest nuclear power country (Russia) will not tolerate threats from anyone. Putin made the warning at a ceremony celebrating the victory of Soviet forces against Nazi Germany in World War II.

Putin claims the West is once again inciting conflict around the world. "Everybody knows the consequences of this ambition," Putin said at the army rally in Moscow's Red Square. He also announced that Russia will prevent all kinds of global conflicts. He said that Russia's strategic (nuclear) forces are always ready for war. Putin sees the Ukraine war as part of a fight against the West. After the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, he believes that this incident has humiliated Russia. "Western leaders have forgotten the lessons of World War II," Putin said, citing Russia's respect for all the allies who helped defeat the Nazis.
