Iran: US Attack on a Wedding Ceremony Constitutes a War Crime

News Desk: A horrifying tragedy has occurred following a new US attack reportedly aimed at destroying Iranian military bases. Although the US military described the operation as successful, its forces allegedly struck a wedding ceremony in Sirik County, Iran. The joyous occasion for the bride, groom, and guests quickly turned into scenes of grief and mourning.

According to Iranian media, at least four people were killed and 67 others injured in the attack on the wedding ceremony. Iran has directly described the incident as a “war crime.” The country’s Foreign Ministry stated that such an attack on innocent civilians constitutes a clear violation of international law. Meanwhile, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf expressed strong outrage, accusing the United States of repeatedly killing children and civilians during the conflict.

In response to the allegations, US Central Command spokesperson Tim Hawkins said they were aware of the reports and were investigating the matter. He claimed that US forces never deliberately target civilians.

Meanwhile, standing at the White House, US President Donald Trump openly praised the operation. He said that US forces had delivered a very powerful blow to Iran the previous night and were prepared to launch further attacks at any time if necessary.

Trump also said that the US military had strategically secured control over the Strait of Hormuz and had destroyed Iran’s radar systems and its ability to deploy mines. He even hinted on social media at renaming the waterway the “Trump Strait.” With Washington issuing stern threats on one side and bloodied bodies from a wedding ceremony on the other, the conflict appears to have reached an increasingly critical stage.
