Prisoner Dies in Dinajpur Jail

Dinajpur Correspondent: A man named Nadim, who was serving a sentence imposed by a mobile court in a drug case, died in prison custody today, Wednesday. The deceased Nadim (42) was the son of the late Alauddin, a resident of Mission Road in the district town.

Jail Superintendent Mainuddin Bhuiyan said that Nadim had been sentenced to 10 days by a mobile court in a drug case. He had been imprisoned since August 17. Nadim was scheduled to be released from prison today, Wednesday, after completing his sentence. But before that, he suffered a cardiac arrest in the morning and was taken to Dinajpur Medical College Hospital. The doctors could not save him. They will hand over the body to his relatives in the afternoon after the post-mortem examination.

On the day of his release from prison after completing the 10-day sentence imposed by the mobile court, a man named Nadim died in prison in the morning due to cardiac arrest. Nadim (42) was the son of the late Alauddin of the Mission Road neighbourhood in Dinajpur district town.

He had been imprisoned since August 17. After falling ill, he was admitted to the medical college hospital. Later, he was declared dead. The body will be handed over to his relatives after the post-mortem examination.
