Tree Saplings Distributed Among Students in Chatmohar

Pabna Correspondent: Tree saplings were distributed among students in Chatmohar, Pabna, under the slogan “One Goal, One Lakh.”

As part of the Klemon tree-planting initiative, the saplings were distributed among students of St. Rita’s School in the upazila at 11 a.m. on Saturday (August 22).

A brief discussion was held in the school’s hall room in the morning on the occasion. Head Teacher Father Pius Gomes and former President of the Chatmohar Press Club Rakibur Rahman Tukun spoke at the event.

Later, 1,500 fruit-bearing, forest and medicinal tree saplings were distributed among the school’s students. Teacher Mitu Chandra Maria conducted the programme.

Among those present were teachers Azharul Islam, Nurul Islam and Rita Pirich; Jugantor correspondent Pabitra Talukdar; Samakal correspondent Shamim Hasan Milon; Kaler Kantho correspondent Abdul Latif Ranju; Protidiner Bangladesh correspondent Sanjit Chakraborty Sona; social workers Mehedi Hasan Sujon and Sajib Humaun; Khademul Haque and others.
