PABNA REPRESENTATIVE : An exceptional law and order meeting was held in Bhangura upazila of Pabna. All those who wish to participate in the meeting are given the opportunity to freely express their views, which elicits a positive response from the attendees.
The meeting was held on Monday (March 30) at 11 am in the hall of Bhangura upazila. Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land), Executive Magistrate and Additional Upazila Executive Officer Mr. Mizanur Rahman presided over the meeting.
Officials from various government departments, public representatives, members of the law and order forces, political figures, journalists and civil society representatives were present in the meeting. As such a meeting was held after a long time, a large attendance was noticed and the upazila hall was full.
The overall law and order situation of the upazila, public service activities, drug prevention, market management, road safety and various public grievances were discussed in the meeting. The participants present openly expressed their views and problems. Mr. Mizanur Rahman, the president of the meeting listened attentively to the speech raised in the meeting. Along with the assistants, he himself notes the important issues and assures to take necessary action on them.
In the President's speech, he said that currently he is performing the duties of four important offices and is always trying to ensure the service of the people of the upazila. He said, "I am ready for public service 24 hours. If any important matter of the upazila is reported to me immediately, quick action will be taken."
He further said that it is definitely possible to build a peaceful and developed Bhangura with the joint efforts of the administration, public representatives, politicians, law enforcement and general public. He also assured that the issues raised in the meeting will be taken seriously and necessary measures will be taken step by step.
