Diplomatic Correspondent: the first batch of 42 Bangladeshi students was seen off by Pakistan High Commissioner to Bangladesh Imran Haider at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Tuesday as they departed for Pakistan to pursue higher education under the second phase of the Pakistan-Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor.
‎The students have been awarded fully funded Allama Muhammad Iqbal Scholarships to pursue undergraduate, master’s and PhD programmes at leading universities in Pakistan under the second phase of the scholarship programme.
‎The initiative aims to strengthen educational cooperation and people-to-people ties between Bangladesh and Pakistan by providing Bangladeshi students with opportunities to pursue higher studies at reputed Pakistani institutions.

Last year, 74 Bangladeshi students joined leading Pakistani universities under the first phase of the Pakistan-Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor programme.
‎Speaking to the students at the airport, High Commissioner Imran Haider wished them success in their academic pursuits and expressed confidence that they would contribute to the bright future of Bangladesh.
‎He also hoped that the students would play a meaningful role in further strengthening people-to-people relations and serve as a bridge between the peoples of Pakistan and Bangladesh.
