News Desk: Due to the Corona situation, the education boards got the power to publish HSC results without the examination of 2020 academic year. The president issued three orders on Wednesday (January 26th) asking technical, madrasa and general boards to produce results. According to the directive, it was not possible to conduct the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination in 2020 due to the ongoing superficial Covid-19 virus.

In this situation the Higher Secondary Education Ordinance 1971 has been amended. As per Section 17 of the Amendment 2021, the General, Madrasa and Technical Education Boards have been empowered to prepare, publish and distribute the results of Higher Secondary Examination 2020 as per the recommendation of the Consultative Committee constituted in this regard.

It has been mentioned that this order has been issued with the approval of the appropriate authority. Meanwhile, last Monday (January 25), three amended laws were passed in the gazette to publish the results of HSC and equivalent examinations without examination. Before that, the President said.

Gazettes of ‘Intermediate and Secondary Education (Amendment) Act-2021’, ‘Bangladesh Technical Education Board (Amendment) Act-2021’ and ‘Bangladesh Madrasa Education Board (Amendment) Act-2021’ were issued. Now the results of HSC and equivalent examinations will be released any day.

These laws are passed to give HSC examination results on the basis of SSC and JSC examination results. Last Sunday (January 24) after the bill was passed in Parliament, the Minister of Education.
