Bill to publish HSC and equivalent results without examination passed in Parliament

News Desk: Three bills have been passed in the parliament to remove the obstacle of publishing the results of higher secondary and equivalent examinations without examination in unavoidable circumstances.

The bill passed three times in the parliament session on Sunday. As a result, the obstacle of publishing the results of higher secondary and equivalent examinations has been removed. HSC results will be published soon after the publication of the gazette, said the Minister of Education. Dipu Moni. Earlier, the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Education examined the bill three times and recommended its approval in Parliament.

Last Thursday, Fazle Hossain Badshah, a senior member of the parliamentary committee on the education ministry, presented the report of the three bills in the parliament and recommended to pass it.

According to the existing law, there is a provision to give the result of HSC and equivalent examination after taking the examination. The amended bill provides for the publication of results in special circumstances without examination. 13 lakh 75 thousand 69 students of 11 education boards were supposed to give HSC and equivalent examinations this time.

The test was supposed to start from April 1. But when the outbreak of coronavirus began to increase, all educational institutions in the country were closed from March 16. According to the government, HSC exams are not going to be taken like the fifth and eighth finals.
