News Desk: A 250 kg cylinder-like bomb was recovered while digging at the third terminal under construction at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. It was rescued at noon on Monday (December 14).
The bomb is being sent to the firing range at Rasulpur in Tangail to deactivate it completely. Earlier, a similar bomb was recovered on December 9. The bomb was later detonated at noon on December 10 at the Air Force firing range at Rasulpur in Tangail. The bomb exploded with a loud noise. Relevant sources of the Air Force confirmed this information.
Group Captain AHM Touhid-ul-Ahsan, the director of Shahjalal International Airport, initially thought the bomb was from the Liberation War.
