Gusts of 80 kmph are likely in nine parts of the country: Meteorological Department

News Desk: A storm with a speed of 80 km is likely over nine regions of the country. For this, two signals have been raised in the river ports of those areas. Saturday (May 11) forecasted by the Meteorological Office. Meteorologist Md. Omar Farooq said that stormy winds with rain/thundershower may blow temporarily from West/North-West at a speed of 60-80 km per hour over Faridpur, Jessore, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Comilla, Noakhali, Chittagong and Cox's Bazar regions. The river ports of these areas have been asked to show the number two naval warning signal. Presently, the extension of Western Low Pressure is extending from West Bengal to Northwest Bay of Bengal. In many places of Chittagong Division till Sunday (May 12) morning; Some places of Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal and Sylhet divisions and two places each of Rangpur, Rajshahi and Mymensingh divisions may experience rain/thunder with gusty winds temporarily. Along with that, hailstones may rain sporadically at some places.

Day temperatures may decrease slightly and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country. From Sunday morning to Monday (May 13) morning, some places of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and two places each of Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions may experience rain/thunder with gusty winds temporarily. Along with that, hailstones may rain sporadically at some places. Day and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country. From Monday morning to Tuesday (May 14) morning, some places of Khulna and Sylhet divisions and two places each of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Barisal and Chittagong divisions may experience rain/thunder with gusty winds temporarily. Besides, day and night temperatures may increase slightly across the country. Day and night temperatures may increase further during extended five-day weather.
