News Desk: Russia is the first country in the world to launch a mass vaccination program against corona. The 'Sputnik-V' vaccine, invented by them as an antidote to covid, has been brought to the service of emergency patients. Those with serious conditions are being initially vaccinated, the BBC reported.

Russia announced the discovery of the world's first corona vaccine in August this year. Then last week Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that the mass vaccine would be introduced from next week.

In this context, vaccination programs for Kovid patients are underway in several clinics in Moscow. Authorities say those at risk are among those most affected by Corona.

Russian experts claim that the Sputnik-V vaccine is more than 95 percent effective against corona. However, scientists are still researching this vaccine invented by themselves. The producers of this vaccine are hopeful that by the end of this year, they will be able to produce 20 lakh vaccines.

Earlier, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced that priority would be given to schools, the health sector and social workers. Meanwhile, 70 free online sites have been opened around Moscow for the convenience of those interested in getting corona vaccine. Interested candidates should be at least 18 to 20 years of age. Who will be brought under the vaccination program, the country's government will decide later.

Russia is one of the first countries to be affected by the Corona. So far, more than 23 lakh 72 thousand people have been affected by corona in the country. The death toll has risen to 41,800.
