News Desk: Online Muslim World Discourse had taken place on 11 th July 2020, Saturday centred on the theme of Post COVID-19 Crisis-The Role of Muslim World discussing the present ramification of the coronavirus pandemic, its effects on Muslim world & how can Muslim world can confront the challenges & contribute in the process of solution making. This program was organised by the OIC Study Group (OICSG) in collaboration with International Institute for Muslim Unity (IIMU), IIUM Malaysia, Department of Islamic History and Civilisation, University of Malaya (UM), South-East Asian Co-operation (SEACO) Foundation, Bangladesh & Muslim World Research Center (MWRC) Malaysia.

As the world faces the greatest disruption of our lifetimes, Muslims throughout the world are also grappling with the repercussions of the coronavirus pandemic. But the Islamic cultural, spiritual and theological dimensions offer Muslims myriad ways of coping. Hence, Muslim World Discourse aims to arrange series of discourses to discuss the topics & subjects of contemporary affairs of the Muslim World assembling the Muslim scholars from various

part of the world to share their views & opinions on the present crisis. Professor Waleed Fekry, Director of IIMU & IIUM Malaysia& President of OICSG; Salahuddin

Kasem Khan, Executive Chairman of SEACO Foundation Bangladesh; Dr. Rateb Jneid, President of AFIC Australia & Dr. Alexander Wain, Research Fellow of IAIS Malaysia has shared their valuable discussions. The webinar was moderated by Professor Dr. Syed Arabi Idid, Former Rector, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). The webinar was welcomed by Professor Isharaf Hossain, Secretary General of OICSG & Principal Research Fellow of MWRC.

The webinar discussed how the Muslim leaders can plan now to ensure that the Islamic vision is represented that can give opportunities to compete with other ideas for the betterment of the humanity in the post pandemic world and how can the Muslim world can develop the ability to amplifytheir voice to build a resilient & sustainable future.
