News desk: Jordan has announced to withdraw its ambassador from Israel 'immediately' in response to the ongoing attacks in Gaza. The country alleged that Israel had created an "unprecedented humanitarian disaster" in the Palestinian territories. At the same time, Israel has also been asked to withdraw its ambassador from Jordan.

The Jordanian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi has decided to immediately withdraw the Jordanian ambassador from Israel. "Innocent lives are being lost in Gaza in Israel's war," the statement condemned.

Jordan's foreign ministry said its envoy would return to Israel only when Israel stops fighting in the besieged Gaza Strip. At the same time, Israel has been asked to withdraw its ambassador.

Al Jazeera's correspondent in East Jerusalem, Alan Fisher, said the move was "diplomatically quite significant". But this will not change the situation in Gaza.
Hamas, the armed organization of the Palestinian independence movement, attacked Israel on October 7. Since that day, Israeli forces have been indiscriminately bombing Gaza.

According to the Ministry of Health of Gaza, 8 thousand 796 Palestinians have been killed in the Israeli attack since October 7. Most of them are women and children. Israel reported that more than 1,400 people were killed in the attack by Hamas.
