News Desk: An Iftar mahfil was held at a reputed hotel in the city on Wednesday under the initiative of the Indian Assistant High Commission in Rajshahi. In the iftar ceremony organized by the Indian Assistant High Commissioner Manoj Kumar in Rajshahi, member of the presidium of Bangladesh Awami League and Mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation AHM Khairuzzaman Liton, State Minister of Planning Ministry Shahiduzzaman Sarkar MP, Divisional Commissioner (Additional Secretary) of Rajshahi Dr. Dewan Muhammad Humayun Kabir, Rajshahi University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. MPs from various constituencies of Rajshahi including Golam Sabbir Sattar, former MPs, officials at various levels of administration, Christian priests (bishops), directors of Islamic Foundation and cultural personalities were present.
Prayers are held to wish for the well-being of the country and the decade, regardless of religion, caste, and to continue the positive trend of friendship between the two countries. The participants thanked the High Commission for organizing a lively Iftar like every year.
