News Desk: Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Bangladesh, Mansoor Chavoshi, said that a permanent solution to the conflict can only be achieved if the Palestinian refugees are brought back to their homeland and a referendum is held with the participation of the indigenous people of this land to establish their fate and preferred governance system.

He said this in a special guest speech at a seminar at the Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) auditorium in the capital on Friday (05 April).

Al Quds Committee Bangladesh organized this seminar on the occasion of International Al Quds Day. Islami University Bangladesh Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Sheikh Abdus Salam. Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Bangladesh, Mansoor Chavoshi, former Election Commissioner Brigadier General (retd.) attended the event as a special guest. M. Sakhawat Hossain.

Dhaka University's Philosophy Department Chairman and Al-Quds Committee Bangladesh President Professor Dr. Shah Kawsar Mustafa Abululai presided over the event and the Cultural Counselor of Iran Embassy in Dhaka Syed Reza Mir Mohammadi and Bangabandhu Researcher and Security Analyst Major (retd) Mohammad Afizur Rahman were present as honored guests. Bangladesh Supreme Court's senior lawyer Advocate A. gave a welcome speech at the event. K. M. Badruddoja.

The speakers said that the International Al Quds Day is going to be celebrated at a time when Zionist Israel's demonic attacks on the Palestinian Gaza Strip continue.

Baitul Muqaddas is the third holiest site in Islam, after the holy Makkah Mu'azzama and Madinah Munawara, where the first Qibla of Islam, Masjid al-Aqsa, is located. Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) traveled to Miraj from Masjid al-Aqsa. So Baitul Muqaddas is not an ordinary land like many other lands of the world.

The world imperialist and colonialist clique fueled sectarian Jewish Zionists and took away the rights of Palestine. They are carrying out one massacre after another and brutally evicting Muslims from towns and villages. Palestinians continue to struggle and fight against Israel, which is occupying Palestine. People of the world are protesting it.

It should be noted that after the victory of the Islamic revolution in Iran, Imam Khomeini called for celebrating the International Al-Quds Day on the last Friday of the month of Ramadan, focusing on the Palestine issue. Since then, it has become a symbolic day of the movement to liberate the holy Baitul Muqaddas, the first Qibla of Muslims. International Al Quds Day was first started in Iran in 1971 at the call of Imam Khamenei.
