US sanctions announced on Ukraine war anniversary

On the other hand, Washington has announced new military aid for Ukraine. The US has targeted more than 100 organizations inside and outside of Russia across Europe, Asia and the Middle East that have supported the war in Ukraine. News BBC. The U.S. Treasury Secretary has warned firms and banks, including China, against helping Russia evade sanctions. The U.S. State Department has imposed sanctions on more than 50 top Russian officials, including dozens of governors and regional heads, including cabinet ministers.

In addition, the US State Department also said that the visas of more than 1,200 members of the Russian military are being tightened, along with the imposition of sanctions on several other Russian officials and institutions.
