7 were killed in an air strike in the eastern part of Syria

International Desk:  Seven people were killed in an airstrike on a truck convoy entering eastern Syria from Iraq. A war monitoring agency reported this on Monday

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, seven people were killed in an airstrike targeting a vehicle fleet of a group supported by Iran on Sunday night. Among the dead are truck drivers and their associates. None of them are Syrian citizens. However, it is not known who carried out the air attack there.'

It should be noted that in the Syrian civil war, Iran is providing military assistance to its ally Damascus through armed groups. Pro-Iranian militias have a large presence along the Iraqi-Syrian border. 

Meanwhile, the US-led coalition fighting the Islamic State group in Iraq and Syria has in the past attacked pro-Iranian fighters in Syria.

Israel has also admitted to launching hundreds of airstrikes and missile strikes targeting government positions and Iranian-backed forces in Syria since the start of the civil war in 2011.
