US will not give warplanes to Ukraine: Biden

International Desk:  Ukraine first wants tank support from the United States and Western allies to counter Russian attacks. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is now asking for fighter jets after being promised tanks. However, US President Joe Biden said that they will not give warplanes to Ukraine.

On Monday, a journalist asked Biden whether he has any intention to give warplanes to Kiev? In response to this question, Biden said, 'No'. 

According to the report, almost a year of war against Russia has seriously reduced the strength of Ukraine's air force. When the West agreed to give them tanks, Kiev thought they might as well give them fighter jets. And with these warplanes, the strength of our air force will be taken to its previous position.

However, the United States has directly rejected this request. Earlier, Germany also made it clear that it would not provide warplanes.

Meanwhile, February 24 will mark one year of Russia's attack on Ukraine. At that time, President Joe Biden may go to Ukraine's neighboring country, Poland. The goal of his visit is to convey the message that the United States is still with Ukraine.

When asked about a visit to Poland, President Biden said, 'I will go to Poland. But I don't know when I will go there.'

Biden announced the decision a day after Germany's head of state refused to send fighter jets.
