Konstantin Vorontsov, the senior official of the Department of Removal and Arms Control of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country, warned on Thursday (October 27). Reuters news.

He said that the United Nations, the United States and its allies are trying to use space capabilities to expand Western dominance over Russia. Such use of satellites to assist Ukraine would be a very dangerous strategy for the world.

Addressing the United Nations, Vorontsov said, with the help of the West, Ukraine is planning to attack our semi-civilian infrastructure. Such a plan to use satellites will further inflame tensions between Russia and the West.

Addressing the United Nations, he added, "We are warning against the involvement of the commercial and civilian space infrastructure of the United States and its allies in armed conflict."

However, Vorontsov did not name any specific satellite company. However, Elon Musk announced a few days ago that his company SpaceX will continue to invest in Starlink's Internet service in Ukraine. Elon also mentioned that his decision was not to help or support any party, but he took this decision because of the need for good work.

In 1957, Russia launched the first man-made satellite, Sputnik 1, into space. In addition, in 1961, Russia sent the first man into space and in 2001, the country deployed an anti-satellite to destroy its own satellites. The facts suggest that Russia has equal or greater space capabilities than the United States and China.

Since the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962, Russia has been in direct opposition to Western countries such as America and France.

Hundreds of thousands of people have already died in the Russia-Ukraine war. Moreover, the war is severely hampering the recovery of the global economy in the post-Covid era.

The situation is getting more complicated by the day and the confrontation between the US and other Western countries with Russia is intensifying. Along with that, the world economy is going to face an unexpected disaster.
