News Desk: The party's secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that no one will be nominated by the BNP in the search committee formed to appoint the chief election commissioner and commissioner.

He was responding to a question from reporters after visiting Natore's Gurudaspur Upazila President Abdul Aziz at BRB Hospital in Panthapath on Monday morning.

Claiming that everyone in the search committee is involved in the politics of Awami League, Mirza Fakhrul said, "The search committee is showing people, BNP will not suggest any name in it." The people will not allow any election under the Awami League government. Elections must be held under a neutral government.

He said the search committee was working to set up another Huda commission to keep the Awami League in power. So the BNP has no interest or expectation about the search committee.

BNP organizing secretary Ruhul Quddus Talukder Dulu, BNP chairperson's press wing member Shairul Kabir Khan and other BNP leaders were present at the time.
