A fire broke out in a house in Uttara of the capital, killing 3 members of the same family

News Desk: Three members of the same family have died in a fire at a house in Chandalbook area of ​​Uttara. One of them is a man and two are women. The dead are- Md. Jahangir (19), Ruma Akhter (18) and Afrin (14).

On Tuesday (January 4) morning, fire service duty officer Khaleda Akhter confirmed the matter.

He said a fire broke out at Suruj Mia's house on government khas land in Chandalbook Manik slum of Uttara in the capital. The fire service received the news of the fire at 4:20 in the morning. Three units of Uttara Fire Station are working to control the fire at the accident site. A two-room tinshed house was damaged in the fire.

He said the fire was brought under control at 5:40 p.m. The cause of the fire was initially thought to be an electrical fault. Three bodies were recovered from the scene of the fire.

The bodies were handed over to Sub-Inspector of Police (SI) Wajiur Rahman, the fire service official said.
