News Desk: Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader has claimed that BNP is still able to do politics in the country as Awami League is tolerant.

Obaidul Quader made the remarks at a briefing at his official residence on Saturday (October 30th).

Obaidul Quader said that BNP leaders have been saying for a long time that there is no soil under the feet of the government. If there was soil under their feet, they would take to the streets and come to the polls. '

He said, "There is no ground under the feet of BNP for the politics of negativity and conspiracy." So they are isolated from the roots and non-electoral. '

Mentioning that the BNPE wanted to throw democracy into the Bay of Bengal through the voterless elections on February 15, the Awami League general secretary said, "The BNPE wanted to destroy democracy by creating one and a half crore fake voters." The BNP has even uprooted democracy and democratic values from the constitution.

Quader claimed that BNP is the killer of democracy and Awami League and Sheikh Hasina are the defenders of democracy. In this context, he said, ‘Ziaur Rahman killed democracy by voting yes-no when he was the army chief. Sheikh Hasina has brought democracy on the right path by overcoming many obstacles in the way of development of democracy. On the other hand, the BNP has gradually obstructed the development of democracy with their undemocratic behavior and conspiracy politics.

He added, "Democracy can be institutionalized by both the government and the opposition." But there the opposition is repeatedly obstructing the establishment of democracy. The BNP has failed in the movement and elections and is now inciting communal evil forces against the country and the government.

Quader said, "The Awami League did not retaliate even after killing the father of the nation and his family in 1971, targeting Sheikh Hasina on August 21 because he was tolerant."
