This was stated by the Minister for Liberation War Affairs, AQM Mozammel Haque, in his keynote address at the webinar titled 'August 21 in Continuation of August 15' organized by We the Children of Freedom Fighters (AMUS) on Friday (August 20).

He further said, "The anti-independence forces brutally killed Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family to kill the ideology of the great liberation war." Later, the assassination was carried out on August 21 to make the Awami League leaderless.

At that time, the minister further said, 'Bangabandhu was a statesman skilled in all aspects. His three-and-a-half-year reign is a shining example. Bangabandhu is the only leader in the world who has dreamed of independence in his lifetime, united the people of the country in the war of independence and achieved independence.

The minister said, "The two incidents of August 15 and August 21 are intertwined. This is not just a murder. There was a deep conspiracy behind this. BNP-Jamaat and anti-independence clique are directly involved in this conspiracy. So it is time to unmask these conspirators. Therefore, I am hopeful that a neutral national commission will be formed soon to identify the culprits behind the assassination of Bangabandhu and present it to the nation. '
