8 more killed in Chittagong, 347 identified

News Desk: Eight more people have died in Chittagong in the last 24 hours due to coronavirus infection. At this time, 347 new victims have been identified. The total death toll in the Chittagong district stood at 472 and the number of identified stood at 47,584.

A report released by the Chittagong Civil Surgeon's Office on Tuesday (April 20th) revealed this information. Dr. Civil Surgeon.

Sheikh Fazle Rabbi said that yesterday (Monday) in different labs of Chittagong, one thousand 557 samples were tested and 347 people were found to have corona germs.

Of these, 263 are from the city and 64 from the Upazila. In the last 24 hours, 57 people were diagnosed with corona infection in Chittagong University Lab, 61 in Fauzdarhat BITID Lab, 50 in Chittagong Medical College Lab, and 23 in Chittagong Veterinary University Lab.

Besides, coronary infections were detected in 32 people in Imperial Hospital Lab, 6 people in Chevron Hospital Lab, 26 people in Agrabad Maternal and Child Hospital Lab, and 31 people in General Hospital RTRL Lab.

According to district administration sources, a mobile court led by several executive magistrates raided various places in Chittagong yesterday after a nationwide crackdown to prevent coronavirus infection. A total of Tk 13,150 was recovered in 29 cases.

At the same time, one thousand masks were distributed for awareness. It is also learned that mobile courts will be set up at various places in Chittagong to ensure hygiene and implement lockdown.
