MV Abdullah will arrive in Dubai this afternoon

News desk: The Bangladeshi ship MV Abdullah, freed from hostages, crossed the Kasab coast of the Persian Gulf at 8 am (Bangladesh time) on Sunday. The ship will arrive at Dubai's Al Hamriya port by 2pm local time (4pm Bangladesh time). Marine Traffic, a global organization that determines the position of ships, has reported this information. According to Marine Traffic.com sources, MV Abdullah crossed the Oman Sea and entered the Persian Gulf last night. The ship is moving towards Dubai at a speed of 9.3 kilometers per hour. According to the ship's position and speed, it will reach the outer anchorage of Al Hamria port in Dubai by 4 pm Bangladesh time today.

Mohammad Abdur Rashid, the captain of MV Abdullah, said that all the 23 sailors of the ship are healthy. After reaching Dubai, two of the sailors will return to Bangladesh by flight. The remaining 21 are expected to return home by ship in the first week of May after unloading the coal. Earlier on April 14, the MV Abdullah, freed from the hostages of Somali pirates, left the coast of Somalia for the United Arab Emirates. The vessel is carrying 55,000 metric tons of coal. On March 12, 23 Bangladeshi sailors and crew of MV Abdullah were taken hostage by Somali pirates while going to the United Arab Emirates with coal from the African country of Mozambique. Later, they were released in exchange of a large ransom.
