News Desk: The number of patients and deaths identified in the coronavirus has increased further. In the last 24 hours, 28,602 samples have been tested and 3,057 new patients have been identified. In the previous 48 hours, the number was 3,554 and 2,609 respectively.

In the last 24 hours, 25 people have died of coronavirus infection, the press release said. Among them 18 are males and 7 are females. All 25 died at the hospital. The total number of deaths due to coronavirus in the country stood at 8,073. In the last 24 hours, 26,063 samples were collected and 22,502 samples were tested in 221 government and private laboratories of the country, and another 3,058 new ones were identified.

With this, the number of identified patients has increased to five lakh 60 thousand 606 people. The total number of sample tests is 44 lakh, 6 thousand 6 people. The rate of patient identification in 24 hours is 12.96 percent. So far, the detection rate is 12.94 percent. One thousand 915 people have recovered from Corona in the last 24 hours.

With this, the number of healthy patients in the country has increased to five lakh 26 thousand 909 people. In the last 24 hours, the recovery rate is 90.69 percent. The first case of the corona was identified in the country on March 7, 2020.

The first corona patient died on March 17, 10 days later. Of the 8,063 deaths in Corona as of Tuesday, 6,625 were men (75.60 percent) and 2,138 were women (24.40 percent). Of the 25 people killed in the hour, two were in their forties, nine in their fifties, and 14 in their sixties.

According to the division, 16 people died in the Dhaka division, three in Chittagong, one in Rajshahi, one in Barisal, one in Sylhet, and one in Rangpur division.
