Sarjis Alam Appointed to a New Position

News Desk: The National Citizens Party (NCP) has formed a 23-member organizational subcommittee to strengthen and streamline the party’s organizational activities. Sarjis Alam, the party’s chief organizer for the northern region, has been appointed head of the subcommittee, giving him a new responsibility.

The decision was taken at a meeting held at the NCP’s party office in Banglamotor, Dhaka, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Monday (September 28). The meeting was chaired by NCP Convener and Chief Whip of the Opposition Nahid Islam.

According to the party, the organizational subcommittee will have two deputy heads from the Political Council. In addition, each division of the country will have a divisional organizing secretary and an assistant organizing secretary.

The subcommittee was formed to further strengthen the party’s organizational activities and coordinate its work at the divisional and grassroots levels.
