‘Stop Interfering in Other's Freedom,’ Xi Jinping’s Message at BRICS Summit

News Desk: A major meeting of the BRICS alliance is being held in India’s capital, Delhi. At the summit, Chinese President Xi Jinping directly sent a message saying that interference in the freedom of other countries must be stopped and that no country’s trade should be blocked.

He called on everyone to remain united and maintain an environment for business and dialogue instead of accepting decisions imposed by powerful forces around the world.

Xi Jinping also expressed deep concern at the summit over the extremely tense situation in the Middle East. Highlighting the devastation of war, he made it clear that this war in the Middle East is harmful to the entire world and is only pushing the lives of ordinary people toward destruction. Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian were also directly present at the meeting.

Speaking about bringing all countries together, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said emphatically at the very beginning of the summit that half of the world’s people and 40 percent of the global economy are now in our hands. The old rules of power must be broken to build a world where all countries, big and small, will have equal rights.
