No signs of concern are being observed in Iran regarding Donald Trump’s visit to Beijing. In Tehran, the visit is being viewed as a routine bilateral matter, and relevant officials believe it will have no negative impact on the strong relations between Iran and China.
A spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs clearly stated at a press conference that no action or visit by the United States can affect Iran-China relations.
He noted that the relationship between the two countries is very strong, strategic, and independent. This bond, built on long-standing partnership, is not likely to be shaken by any external interference.
It is worth mentioning that in 2020, Iran and China signed a 25-year long-term cooperation agreement. Under this agreement, the two countries maintain deep partnership in politics, economy, culture, and various important issues in the Middle East. Therefore, Tehran does not see Trump’s presence in Beijing as any obstacle to its long-term and strategic relationship with China.
