News Desk: Maldives Foreign Minister Abdullah Shahid is arriving in Dhaka on Monday on a four-day visit. He is coming at the invitation of Bangladesh Foreign Minister AKA Momen.
The Foreign Ministry said in a press release.
It is said that the two foreign ministers will discuss various issues of mutual interest on Tuesday. A memorandum of understanding between the Foreign Service Institute of Bangladesh and the Foreign Service Institute of Maldives will also be signed on the day.
During his visit to Dhaka, Abdullah will pay a courtesy call on President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs says that the excellent bilateral relations between Bangladesh and the Maldives have become stronger in the last few years. About 8,000 expatriate Bangladeshis work in the Maldives.
