News Desk: The crime rate of Bangladeshis is much less than the population of different countries living in Saudi Arabia, said General Khalid bin Qatar Al-Harbi, the head of the public security department of the Saudi Interior Ministry. Khalid made the remarks during a meeting with Bangladesh's ambassador to Saudi Arabia Mohammad Jabed Patwari on Monday (January 18th).

Khalid said that the Saudi police are very aware of the rights of any migrant worker and always take swift action against the violation of the rights of any worker. The ambassador requested that illegal immigrant workers be given the opportunity to take their personal belongings with them before being sent back to the country.

He requested regular motivational campaigns by the Saudi police to comply with Saudi law in the camps of Bangladeshi workers located in different parts of Saudi Arabia. During the meeting, Ambassador Jabed Patwari requested for joint training and exchange of experiences with Bangladesh Police on drugs, human trafficking, international terrorism and money laundering.
