News Desk: The results of HSC and equivalent examinations will be released by January 28, said Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam. The Cabinet Secretary said this at a briefing on the final approval of the revised law of the Boards of Education to publish the results of HSC or higher secondary without examination due to coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic.

The virtual cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, gave the go-ahead on Monday (January 11th). From the Ganobhaban, the Prime Minister and Ministers from the Cabinet Division in the Secretariat attended the meeting via video conference. The cabinet also approved drafts of the Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (Amendment) Ordinance, 1971 and the revised Bangladesh Technical Education Board Act, 2018 and the Bangladesh Madrasa Education Board Act, 2020. After the meeting, the Cabinet Secretary in the Secretariat said, "There are seven days left for the Parliament to convene. The Secondary and Higher Education Department and the Technical and Madrasa Department have come up with a proposal to issue an amended law ordinance." So the cabinet has decided it does not need to be ordained.

It was approved directly subject to vetting, it was put up on the first day and legislated within 2-3 days so that the result could be given by January 25, 26 or maximum January 26, that is what was decided today. ' Usually HSC and equivalent examinations start on 1st April every year. But it was not possible to take the test due to the Kovid-19 epidemic. This time the total number of HSC and equivalent candidates is 13 lakh 85 thousand 69 people.

The education minister told a press conference on October 8 that HSC and equivalent examinations would not be held this year. HSC results will be declared on the basis of average results of JSC, SSC and equivalent examinations.
