The cabinet has approved the amended law for publishing HSC results

News Desk: Cabinet approves draft of 'Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (Amended) Act, 2021' for publishing HSC or higher secondary results without examination due to coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic The approval was given at a virtual cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday (January 11th).

From the Ganobhaban, the Prime Minister and Ministers from the Cabinet Division of the Secretariat attended the meeting via video conference. Education Minister Dipu Moni told reporters as she left the cabinet meeting room after the meeting. Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam will give a briefing on the cabinet meeting at 1.30 pm. The Education Minister said, ‘The Cabinet has approved the revised Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Act to publish the results of HSC examinations. Now there is no ordinance. The draft of the amended law will be presented in the winter session of the parliament on January 18 and the results of the HSC will be released after its passage.

He said that according to the amended law, provision has been added to give assessment and results if one is not able to take disaster test. Existing law does not provide for publication of results without examination.
