News Desk: The final examination of the fourth year of Honors of seven government colleges affiliated to Dhaka University is starting from January 25. In this case, the postponed exams will be for four hours. The examinations, which will be completely new, will last for two hours as per the decision of the Academic Council of DU until further instructions.

Professor IK Selim Ullah Khandaker, coordinator of seven colleges and principal of Kabi Nazrul Government College, said the decision was taken to complete the examination as soon as possible due to poor health conditions. Regarding the new examination structure, he said that where earlier students had to answer 60 marks in four hours, now according to the new decision, students have to answer 60 marks in two hours. "We will try to complete the stuck tests as soon as possible," he said, adding that "this will help reduce session congestion.

" However, many students of seven colleges do not think it is reasonable to take exams in this structure by reducing the time without reducing the syllabus. Many have demanded the cancellation of this decision. The coordinator of the seven colleges said that all the issues related to the examination are under the jurisdiction of the Dhaka University authorities and the decisions related to the examination were taken by the Academic Council of Dhaka University. We cannot come to a conclusion alone. Atiqul Islam, a student of Dhaka College, said, "If the structure of the question has to be changed, then the syllabus must be shortened.

It is not possible to confirm the answer in such a short time from such a big syllabus." Suraiya Tabasum, a student at Eden College, said, "It is unfair to formulate such a question structure without shortening the syllabus. If this new structure is formulated then the syllabus should be reduced. We don't want the new rules, even if it's a four-hour test in the previous structure, if necessary. ' In view of the demand of the students for resolving the session jam, it was decided to conduct the examination on December 26 in the presence of the Dean and Chief Coordinator of the Faculty of Commerce of Dhaka University in the presence of the concerned Dean, Principal of the Government College and examination officials.

It was decided to take the unfinished examination of the final part of the Masters from January 14, 2018 and the examination of the fourth year of Honors from January 25, 2019. It was also informed that the honors third year examination will start in the first week of February.
