EB is relieved of the responsibility of that Assistant Proctor

EB Correspondent: Associate Professor MM Nasimuzzaman of the Department of Management has been relieved of the post of Assistant Proctor for allegedly threatening to kill a teacher at the Islamic University (IU). The decision was taken after the victim threatened to kill Assistant Professor Altaf Hossain.

A statement signed by the university's administrative branch official on Tuesday afternoon said that the university's assistant proctor Nasimuzzaman had threatened to kill Altaf Hossain, an assistant professor in the Department of Al-Fiqh and Legal Studies, on Friday. He even rushed to hit with a stick. When the teachers and officials present stopped him, they used obscene language. The victim teacher made a general diary (GD) at the EB police station seeking protection in the incident. At the same time, the aggrieved teacher has lodged a written complaint with the VC, Pro-VC, Proctor and Registrar of the university demanding a fair trial on Saturday. The vice chancellor of the university claimed the incident was tragic and said he would come to the campus to resolve the matter.

Besides, the students strongly condemned the incident through social media, protested and demanded exemplary punishment. At the same time, the resident teachers demanded that the permanent residence of the accused teacher be canceled.
