With the magic of Mahidul's hands, beautiful products are being made from bamboo

Gaibandha Representative: Mahidul Islam is a young entrepreneur from Bamondanga Union of Sundarganj Upazila of Gaibandha. Since his student days, he was interested in making small things from bamboo. Later, he became a successful entrepreneur with that interest and willpower. Now this young man has made a name for himself in the area by making beautiful products from bamboo. Entrepreneur. Mahidul's handicrafts are appreciated among hobbyists, starting from hotels, resorts, various houses to decorating houses.

Gaibandhar is a resident of Ramdhan village of Bamondanga union, about 12 km west of Sundarganj upazila city. He has built a handicraft house called Sapnapchura Bamboo Art Corner in his own house. There he works as a craftsman himself.

As soon as you enter that room, you can see a beautiful picture of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman carved on bamboo by Mahidul's skillful hand. A variety of bamboo showpieces including wine glasses, mugs, kettles, tribal hookahs, earrings, vases, pen holders, straws. 

Locals say, Mahidul Islam has developed his talent through strong determination and will power. He is seeing the face of success by removing poverty from his art.

Mohidul Islam said, he wants to advance this industry learned from his father on a larger scale. Along with that, he wants to expand the bamboo industry by providing manpower and training. For this, financial support is needed. 

Rabin Chandra Roy, Assistant General Manager of Gaibandha Basic, said that this young entrepreneur has been provided with better training support in bamboo work. In addition to financial support to advance his bamboo industry, he also assured to take measures to market the hobby products made by him.
