China also wants to contribute to the education sector: Yao Wen

Online Desk: Bangladesh and China have a long-standing friendly relationship. To sustain that relationship, China is working as a development partner of the Bangladesh government as before.

China is not only building roads, airports and bridges in this country, but also wants to contribute to the education sector.

Chinese Ambassador Yao Wen said this at the annual sports competition and prize distribution ceremony of Sissuti Lion Mujib Muna Girls High School of Kuliarchar Upazila of Kishoreganj on Saturday (February 10) at noon.  

He said that he wants to take measures to learn Chinese language in all educational institutions of this country. That is why a digital classroom will be set up on an experimental basis to teach Chinese language to the students of Lion Mujib Muna Girls High School in Kuliachar. There are opportunities for students to study Chinese and go to China for higher education.

The Chinese ambassador said to the students that the Chinese language course will be started this year. You are too young. An opportunity will be created to learn Chinese and go to China. Besides, the opportunity to talk with Chinese students will also be provided.

The ambassador said, today we want to start cooperation with Bangladesh in the field of education by distributing educational materials to this school. Smart schools will be built by China in cooperation with the current government to build a smart Bangladesh.

Ambassador's wife Miss Leo, daughter Zoe Wow were present as special guests at the event.

Lion Mujib Muna Girls High School Managing Committee President Lion Mushiur Ahmed was also present in the event, Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Kishoreganj and Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development and Human Resource Management) Kazi Mahua Momtaz, Additional Superintendent of Police Satyajit Kumar Ghosh, Kuliarchar Upazila Nirbahi. Officer (UNO) Farzana Alam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kuliarchar Police Station. Sarwar Jahan and other invited guests.
