Friend India was the first to congratulate Sheikh Hasina

News Desk:  Indian High Commissioner in Dhaka Prannoy Verma congratulated Bangladesh Awami League President Sheikh Hasina for winning the 12th National Parliament Election. He was the first among the foreign ambassadors to meet Sheikh Hasina at Ganabhaban in Dhaka on Monday morning and extended greetings and congratulations on behalf of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the people of India.

During the meeting, the Indian High Commissioner expressed hope that relations between Bangladesh and India will be strengthened during the new term of Sheikh Hasina. Prannoy Verma said that India will support and cooperate with Bangladesh in realizing its dream of building a stable and prosperous Bangladesh. At this time, he highlighted the relationship and long-standing friendship built on the basis of common self-sacrifice of the two countries in the liberation war.
