News desk:  India will not talk about the internal affairs of any country, they want to reflect the will of the people, said Foreign Secretary Masood Bin Momen. He said that in the meeting between the foreign secretaries of Bangladesh and India in New Delhi, there was a discussion about Prashant Kumar (PK) Halder, the former managing director of Global Islami Bank (formerly NRB Global), who is on trial in India. However, as the matter is under trial, India does not want to discuss more in this context.

He gave this information while talking to reporters at the Ministry of External Affairs on Sunday (November 26) afternoon after returning home after the foreign secretary level meeting in Delhi on Friday.

Journalists want to know whether PK Haldar was discussed in the meeting. In reply, Masood bin Momen said, "We have spoken about PK Haldar." But they said, it is sub judice. They are still in the trial process, so our request is under their consideration. Since they are under trial they don't want to discuss it much.

The Foreign Secretary said that there was no discussion on the return of Salahuddin Ahmed, a member of the BNP Standing Committee, who is staying in India, in the meeting.

Foreign secretaries of Bangladesh and India met in New Delhi on Friday. Foreign Secretary Masood Bin Momen on behalf of Dhaka and Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra on behalf of Delhi led the meeting. This was the second foreign secretary level meeting in a gap of about eight months.
