The Chinese government wants to see the elections in Bangladesh according to the constitution and laws: Ambassador

News desk: The government of the People's Republic of China wants to see the national election of Bangladesh according to the constitution and law. They do not expect any outside interference. The Chinese government also does not interfere in other countries' elections.

Yao Wen, the Chinese ambassador to Dhaka, said these things at a function organized at a hotel in the capital on Thursday (November 9). He participated in the seminar titled 10 Years of BRI: Ushering in the Next Golden Decade. The seminar was jointly organized by the Diplomatic Correspondents Association, Bangladesh (DICAB) and the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka.

The Chinese ambassador said at the event that the election is an internal matter of Bangladesh. Bangladeshi people will decide about the election of Bangladesh. China expects all partners to maintain stability together. And Bangladesh knows what kind of election it needs.

Yao Wen mentioned that China wants to see stability in Bangladesh even after the election. Earlier, the ambassador answered a question about dialogue between political parties. He said, only political parties can talk about this. China wants stability in Bangladeshi society.

In response to the questions asked by journalists about Rohingya repatriation, the ambassador said that China, Bangladesh and Myanmar are trying to start Rohingya repatriation together. Rohingyas have come to this country as guests. Their repatriation also requires international support. China can see that many Rohingyas do not want repatriation.

CEAB president K Changliang said in the event that China has implemented many large projects in Bangladesh. Will implement more projects in the coming days. China will stand by to build a smart Bangladesh.
